Rise Up with Urban Design League
"Where Young Minds Thrive"

Rise Up with the Urban Design League offers an unforgettable summer experience rooted in Science, Technology, Engineering, Advocacy, Art, and Math (STEAAM).

About the Program

Rise Up is UDL’s flagship summer program designed to empower youth from high-need New York City communities through immersive STEAAM learning, leadership development, and community-centered experiences. Students don’t just sit in classrooms, they design, build, analyze, present, and lead. The program blends technical skill-building with creative expression and civic engagement so students not only learn, but also contribute meaningfully to the places where they live. Through project-based workshops and community service projects, participants explore topics like urban design, public art, civic advocacy, forensic science, and environmental justice.
